A PROTECTION ELEMENT FOR PIPE SECTIONS DURING STUFF
The present invention relates to a protective element located on the lateral surface of tubular sections during their stowage to avoid any contact of the tubular sections with each other so that they do not suffer any damage. The tubular sections on which the production is located are made of paramagnetic material. The protective element contains a magnet so that it is magnetically attached to the tubular sections when stowed.
The production is particularly useful in the logistics industry for the transport of large and medium pipes, more specifically for the transport of pipe sections of wind turbines.
TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED AND BACKGROUND OF PRODUCTION
Methods relating to the protection of pipe sections during stowage are known in the art. One of the most widely used makes use of a protective element known as "lollipop", due to its shape. This protective element consists of a rod, formed at one end with an inflatable ball made of elastic material. The dimensions of the "lollipop" depend on the size of the tubular sections to be protected, ie. a ball with a diameter of 30-40 cm and a rod with a length between 1.5 and 2.5 meters.
During the stowage process of tubular sections, a worker places one of these "lollipops" between one of the tubular sections that are already stowed and one that is being stowed to avoid damage to the latter. This method, despite being the most widely used at present, has the following disadvantages: - Difficult handling. It is a very slim element that is very awkward to handle in the wind. It must be inflated, but it is difficult to know what the optimum pressure is.
- Worker safety is reduced. The working area of the two tubular sections; one is located on the ground while the other is hanging down from above, thus being the most sensitive to safety.
- Performance is reduced. Those who hold "lollipop" can do no other work. Eliminating this task will mean that the workers can be redistributed to other tasks and thus make operations more efficient.
- Short life. The inflatable rubber part is easily damaged due to the impact it is subjected to, and needs to be replaced, increasing the cost.
- The stowage has deteriorated. Due to the diameter of the head, these protective elements must operate under high pressure to provide effective stowage with a distance between the sections of approx. 20 cm can be obtained. This makes them difficult to remove and they often break.
Another method used to protect merchandise during stowage is known as "airbag". The airbag is either placed on the wall or on the free sidewall of the merchandise already stowed, thereby absorbing any loads from the next merchandise of the stowed merchandise. The dimensions of the most common "airbags" are 90 x 180 cm and can withstand pressure of 0.2 bar, corresponding to approx. 2 tons weight. They can be placed directly on the ground or wherever the stove deems appropriate so that there is no need for anyone to hold it. This does not change the problems associated with the fact that the protective element is still inflatable, that punctures and damage caused by overpressure during impact may occur, as well as the difficult handling due to its size. In addition, after their removal, the airbags will constitute a non-biodegradable waste.
The present invention is intended to solve these problems, which are not currently solved by the prior art, by providing a method which is simple to use and with a very advantageous practical application.
DESCRIPTION OF THE MOVEMENT
The invention discloses a protective element for pipe sections made of paramagnetic material composed of a body provided with a magnet. The protective element is located on the stowed tubular sections, using magnetic friction, which prevents a new tubular section during stowage from affecting the tubular section already stowed. The magnet may be placed on the outside of the protective member or preferably within the protective member so that it is not in direct contact with the tubular sections.
The protective element is made of a resilient material such as high density foam plastic.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
In order to complete the description and to gain a better understanding of the features of the production, according to an example of a preferred embodiment of the production, here are a number of drawings of a non-limiting nature. The drawings show the following:

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
The present invention relates to a protective element comprising a body (1) provided with a magnet (3) made of paramagnetic material placed on and attached to the tubular sections (2) to avoid damage during stowage.
As shown in Figure 2, the protective elements are attached to the extreme zones on the side of a tubular section (2) already stowed, and thus at the side where the subsequent tubular section (2) will be stowed, in this way the distance between the two tubular sections are kept to a minimum and at the same time avoided damage due to clashes between the tubular sections.
The positioning of the protective element is very simple as it is equipped with a magnet (3) which is easily held on the tubular sections (2). The force of the magnets (3) causes the protective elements to remain on the tubular sections (2), even in severe weather conditions. When the protective elements are located on a stowed tubular section (2), the worker is released and can start stowing the following tubular section (2), thus no workers need to remain in the stowage area, and thus the above-described labor risks avoided and the worker can be redeployed to other tasks.
Body (1) is made of an elastic material, e.g. high density foam plastic which provides a high shock absorption during stowage of the next adjacent pipe sections (2).
This type of material makes it relatively easy to remove the protective element and free the gap between two tubular sections, even in cases where two tubular sections (2) remain at a distance less than the thickness of the body (1), as the protective element can be compressed.
The protective elements of a tubular section (2) can be removed when the following tubular section (2) has been stowed on it, repeating the procedure for the next tubular section (2) to be stowed.
This creation should not be limited to the embodiment described. Other configurations may be performed by experts in the field, based on the present disclosure.
